Our story began in 1961 when we were then known as ‘Beryl’s hairstyling’ named after our co founder ‘Beryl Stares’. The salon was founded by Beryl and her husband Ernie Stares and when it first started was little more than a chair in the front room of their home. They later moved to a premises in Hill Head and from here the business grew to become what it is today.

Beryl and Ernie’s daughter Rachael now manages the salon alongside her daughter Fiona. The salon has 8 members of staff and all receive regular training with our chosen hair care brand Schwarzkopf. The staff also attend regular hair seminars to stay up to date with all the latest hair trends, styles and tips in today’s fashion industry.

The salon has a great reputation within the community and customers come from far and wide to experience the exceptional service offered by this warm and very friendly family run salon.
